Jurong West
Jurong West Town is at the district 22 and is located at opposite side of Jurong East Town. More than twenty thousands residents stay over here. It is the biggest town in Singapore with around seventy thousands HDB units. It is around 60% bigger than Jurong East Town. Jurong West has Lakeside MRT station and Boon Lay MRT station, and there are another two new MRT stations planning to develop which will be extended from Boon Lay MRT station. It covers from the Jurong Lake, Boon Lay Way, Upper Jurong Road and the Pan Island Expressway. There are 60% of land has been used for residential purpose, and others mostly for industrial usage. The famous shopping mall here are Jurong Point and Boon Lay Shopping Centre . The Jurong Point is much more easier to access which is near to Boon Lay MRT and Bus Interchange. The Jurong West Community Library also available here.

Accommodation
Jurong West is much more bigger than Jurong East, either in the population or size. There are almost double much more units than in Jurong East. The majority of the flats over there are 4-room and 5-room. Most of the HDB flats around Boon Lay MRT station are considered new flat which is just 4 - 6 year old. The Lake Shore, Parc Vista and Summer Dale are the high-class condominium in this area.

Facilities and Amenities
There are two MRT stations in this district, Boon Lay MRT Station and Lakeside MRT station . The Bus Interchange is available beside Boon Lay MRT station. The Jurong Lake just opposite the Lakeside MRT station, and the Jurong Town Stadium and Jurong Swimming Complex also near to it. The Jurong Bird Park, Jurong Reptile Park and Singapore Discovery Centre also located in Jurong West. The Golden Village Cinema and the favourite NTUC Supermarket can be found in the Jurong Point.

The Corporation Primary School, Boon Lay Garden Primary School, Shuqun Primary School, Rulang Primary School, Pioneer Primary School, Xingnan Primary School, Juying Primary School and Lakeside Primary School are the primary schools around this area. The secondary schools within this area include Juying Secondary School, Yuan Ching Secondary School, Hong Kah Secondary School, Yuhua Secondary School, Boon Lay Sec School, Fuhua Secondary School, Hua Yi Secondary School, Pioneer Secondary School and Jurong Secondary School. The Jurong Junior College and Nanyang Technological University(NTU) are located at this estate.
